  33. I've found that USR modems, with USR chipsets don't talk well to any
  34. other modem than a USR.  I had a USR 14.4 modem that was horrible..
  35. it wouldn't talk to any other modems.. Sure, it would connect, but
  36. my error rate was sky hi (no matter what string I used), and the
  37. modem connection would hesitate.  I could type a whole sentence
  38. before the modem echo would catch up with me.. HORRIBLE.. I sold
  39. it for a Supra 288, and I've been smiling ever since...
